Consumer Protection Act, 2019
"Consumer" means any person who buys any goods or hires/avails any service for a consideration, and includes a user other than the buyer when used with approval, and includes online transactions.
A consumer is anyone who buys goods or services for a price — including online purchases. It does not include buying for resale or commercial purpose.
