Section 67 — Publishing obscene material in electronic form

Whoever publishes or transmits in the electronic form any material which is lascivious or appeals to the prurient interest shall be punished.

In simple terms

Publishing or sharing obscene content online is an offence.

Punishment

First conviction: up to 3 years and fine up to Rs.5 lakh.
