Section 17 — Right to reside in shared household

Every woman in a domestic relationship shall have the right to reside in the shared household, and she shall not be evicted or excluded from the shared household by the respondent save in accordance with the procedure established by law.

In simple terms

A woman cannot be thrown out of her shared household; she has the right to reside there regardless of ownership.
