A person who desires to obtain any information under this Act shall make a request in writing or through electronic means in English or Hindi or the official language of the area, accompanying such fee as may be prescribed, to the Public Information Officer.
How to file an RTI — apply in writing/online to the Public Information Officer (PIO) with the prescribed fee (usually Rs.10). You need not give a reason for seeking the information.
