How to install

1. Tap Download APK above on your Android phone.
2. Open the downloaded file. Android will ask permission to install apps from this source — allow it for your browser or file manager.
3. Tap Install, then open PhotoRecover.
4. Grant photo access when asked, then tap Scan Photos.

The warning Android shows for apps installed outside the Play Store is normal for a directly distributed APK. Verify the checksum below if you want to confirm the file is exactly the one published here.

What it actually finds

• Photos in the system trash (Android 11 and newer keep them about 30 days)
• Files Android left behind with its own .trashed- and .pending- names
• Photos on your storage that your gallery does not list
• Photos inside hidden folders
• Photo data buried inside other files, such as app cache blobs

Every result is labelled Existing, Potentially Recoverable, Recovered Fragment or Unknown. A photo still sitting in your gallery is never presented as something you lost.

Where it cannot help

• Raw internal flash storage — on a modern phone that data is encrypted and not reachable by an ordinary app
• Another app's private storage — Android isolates it, and no permission opens it
• Data that has already been overwritten — those bytes are simply gone

PhotoRecover works entirely within Android's permission model. It does not use root, exploits, or anything that gets around these limits.

Privacy

This app has no internet permission at all. That is not a policy promise — Android itself will refuse any network call the app attempts, so your photos physically cannot leave your phone.
