Benefits

- Under this scheme, the state government provides financial assistance of ₹25,000/- to minority Muslim abandoned/divorced women to strengthen their economic condition and make them self-reliant. **Note:** The grant amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiary’s bank accounts through RTGS/DBT.

Eligibility

1. The applicant should be a resident of Bihar. 2. The applicant should be a Muslim woman from a minority community. 3. The Muslim woman should fall under one of the following categories: • Divorced • Abandoned by her husband for more than 2 years • Husband is completely mentally handicapped 4. The applicant's age should be between 18 and 50 years. 5. The applicant's annual family income should be less than ₹4,00,000/-. 6. The woman should not have remarried. 7. The benefits of this scheme are available only once in a lifetime. 8. Widow is not eligible for this scheme.

How to Apply

**Offline** **Step 1:** To apply for benefits under this scheme, applicants should visit the office of the District Minority Welfare Officer in their respective district to collect the application form.
