Eligibility (who can apply)
> ***General Criteria:***
The applicant must be a resident of Jharkhand state or must have passed class 10th from a recognized school in Jharkhand for diploma courses or should have passed classes 10th and 12th from recognized schools/colleges in Jharkhand for degree or higher-level courses.1. The applicant should be an orphaned/differently abled student.
The applicant's age should not exceed 40 years as of the application deadline.
> ***Institutional Criteria:***
Student enrolled in a recognized higher education institution in Jharkhand state or institutions ranked in the top 200 (overall category) or top 100 in discipline-specific categories in NIRF rankings or institutions with NAAC accreditation of 'A' grade or above or Institutes of National Importance or Institutions of Eminence.
The applicant is not enrolled under the AICTE tuition fee waiver and is not a current beneficiary of similar central/state/institution schemes. Existing tuition fee waiver/assistance recipients can only receive benefits from one source.

**For Orphan Students:**
Defined under Section 2(42) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
Valid death certificates of parents and relationship proof verified by the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO).
**For Differently-Abled Students:**
Benchmark disability as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
Valid Unique Disability ID (UDID) card verified by the DSWO in coordination with the Chief Medical Officer.
