Document types DocMind AI understands

Every upload is classified into one of eight categories. Here is what each category covers and what you can expect in the explanation.

Eight categories

What DocMind AI looks for in each type

The category is detected automatically. You do not need to choose it.

Insurance

Health, life, motor and travel policy documents, policy schedules, renewal notices and claim letters.

  • Cover amount, premium and policy term as key points
  • Waiting periods and conditions on claims
  • Exclusions listed separately
  • Renewal and premium due dates
Upload the policy schedule together with the policy wording. The schedule has your numbers; the wording has the exclusions.

Loan and bank

Loan sanction letters, loan agreements, bank statements, credit card terms and mortgage papers.

  • Interest rate, EMI and tenure explained
  • Processing fees, late payment and prepayment charges
  • KYC and income documents that appear to be missing
  • EMI start dates and offer validity
Ask the document chat "What happens if I pay late?" to find the penalty terms quickly.

Medical

Blood test reports, discharge summaries, prescriptions and diagnostic reports.

  • Test names and medical terms explained in simple words
  • Values and sections described in plain language
  • Follow-up dates mentioned in the report
  • A note that the explanation is not medical advice
Use the explanation to prepare questions for your doctor, not to replace the consultation.

Government and tax

Income tax notices, GST notices, certificates and official letters from government offices.

  • Which office sent it and why
  • Amounts and reference numbers
  • Reply or payment deadlines
  • Documents you may need to submit
Choose Hindi or your regional language at upload if the notice is easier to follow that way.

Contracts

Employment contracts, offer letters, rent agreements, service agreements and terms and conditions.

  • Notice period, termination and renewal terms
  • One-sided or unusual clauses flagged as risks
  • Payment terms and obligations of each party
  • Signature status of the copy you uploaded
Run the same contract in Professional or Expert mode when you need clause-level detail.

Education

Admission and offer letters, scholarship letters, fee structures and university notices.

  • Fees, scholarships and conditions attached to them
  • Acceptance and payment deadlines
  • Documents the institution asks for
  • Refund and withdrawal terms
Upload all pages of an offer letter at once so conditions on later pages are not missed.

Other

Anything that does not fit the categories above: manuals, reports, invoices, letters and more.

  • A plain-language summary
  • Key points and extracted details
  • Action steps where the document asks for something
Even unclassified documents get the full chat, so you can ask about any part of them.

How the risk level is set

Every document gets an overall risk level of Low, Medium or High. The level reflects how much in the document could cost you money, rights or time if you miss it: penalties, strict deadlines, broad exclusions or clauses that favour the other party. Each risk is listed with a short explanation, so you can judge it yourself.

Mixed or multi-part documents

If one file contains several documents, for example a loan agreement with a sanction letter attached, it is classified by its main content. For clearer results, upload the parts as separate files in the same upload. Each one gets its own analysis and its own chat.

A note on advice

DocMind AI explains documents. It does not replace a doctor, lawyer, tax adviser or financial adviser. Use the summary, risks and action steps to understand your position and to prepare better questions for a professional.
